Poupée captures the very essence of the dialogue between the strength of nature and its delicacy, embodied by a majestic olive tree swept by the wind. The work is a perpetual dance of textures and colours, where shades of green, brown and white merge to give life to each leaf and branch, evoking both the robustness of the tree and the subtle caress of the wind.
Through the masterful use of Tadelakt, an ancestral Moroccan technique, Poupée infuses her work with a depth and luminosity that transcends simple representation. The powdered marble, worked with mineral pigments and meticulously polished, creates a surface of almost tangible softness, inviting the viewer to feel the texture of the marble as it breathes beneath her fingers.
‘L'Olivier dans le Vent’ is much more than a frozen image; it is an immersion in the essence of the Mediterranean landscape, an experience in which we feel the splendour and fragility of nature. Poupée invites us to contemplate not only the visual beauty of the tree, but also the invisible forces that animate it, demonstrating her exceptional talent for translating the soul of the landscape into a profoundly sensory and emotional work of art.
Poupée transcends simple representation to offer a sensory experience where the strength and delicacy of nature meet in a poetic dance of textures and light.
