In her triptych ‘Étretat’, Poupée goes beyond simple visual homage to delve into the very essence of the Normandy landscape. In these three works, the artist seeks not just to depict the cliffs of Étretat, but to convey the intensity of the emotions that this place arouses. The raw power of the elements - the sea, the wind, the rock - is translated into a visual symphony in which each stroke of the spatula becomes a means of expressing the struggle and harmony between man and nature.

Each panel embodies a different facet of this complex relationship. The artist captures not only the majesty and strength of the cliffs, but also their tenderness and vulnerability to the elements. The shades of blue, beige and white are carefully chosen to evoke not only the sea, sky and stone, but also the feelings of wonder and serenity they inspire. Through the rich textures and spontaneous movements of the spatula, Poupée seeks to give the viewer a sense of the profound dynamics that animate this landscape, an energy that is both wild and soothing.

Inspired by the timeless nature of Étretat, Poupée invites us into an introspective experience, where art becomes a mirror of nature, revealing the invisible forces that shape the world. The ‘Étretat’ triptych is an invitation to feel, through the artist's eye, the power of the elements and the poetry that flows from them, creating a deep bond between the viewer and nature.
